zoology ohyeah (:

Hi there!

This time, I’m going to talk about my favorite subject in the University: Zoology. I think this is the most related subject with the career, in this term. I like this class because is so interesting! I learned a lot in there. Now, I know what are phylums, orders, and all these things. Before, we had pratic classes in the laboratory. We saw a lot of animals, like flatworms, echinoderms, spiders (I didn't like this class, I hate spiders u.u) and the last one was fishes! I loved it :3

The only bad thing about this subject is the lot of name we have to learn! For example, in the phylum arthropoda are many many many the names to learn, because are a lot of orders and families! But well, is a little detail! ahah :)

I think I should study zoology this afternoon, so... See you next time!

the man who discovered the sea!

Hi to everyone!

Today, I'm going to tell you about someone I really admire. But first, you have to know one thing about me: I really LOVE the ocean, and all kind of forms of marine life.

Do you know who was Jacques Cousteau? He was a French naval officer, explorer, ecologist, filmmaker, innovator, scientist, photographer, author and researcher who studied the sea and all forms of life in water. He was also known as "le Commandant Cousteau" or "Captain Cousteau". Cousteau was born on 11 June 1910 and died on 25 June 1997 in Paris, aged 87. 

He created  the Cousteau Society to protect ocean life, which now has more than 300,000 members. Also film a lot of documentaries (more than 120) of marine life and write more than 50 books.

 

I really admire him, because he filmed the sea with his own eyes, eyes that love the ocean and admire all forms of life in there. He change the vision of sea for the rest world.

He is a inspiration for me and for my career! :)

I'm here, finally! Studying Veterinary Medicine at University of Chile. Why I'm here? well...

At the end of secundary, I think I found my vocation: help others, do the world better. I was too many options... medicine (human medicine), psicology, marine biology (I love it!), and of course! veterinary medicine. In 2010 (I finish secondary at 2009), I prepared the PSU, and take the time for decide my carrer. Finaly, I decide Veterinary Medicine because I  found in there all the thinks that I love, animals, healt, service... vocation.

This carrer is wonderful. The worlds that it opens are a lot!

I think is important to be a vegan veterinary, who investigate and orientate the people about animal rights and wellfare. This is what I wanna do! Help animals, help people. Do this world better.

Hi there!

My name is Camila, and I'm 18 years old. I'm a Veterinary Student from University of Chile. I like animals! particulary sea animals and dogs. I love music, I listen music everyday! My favorite bands are Green Day, Coldplay, Avenged Sevenfold, 3OH!3,Queen... and much more! I have a dog, a poodle. Her name is Dory, and I love her!! She is the best :). Something very important for me, is the animal rights. Because of this I'm vegan.
